Thanks for your write-up on this website. From my very own experience, there are occassions when softening upwards a photograph might provide the photo shooter with a bit of an inspired flare. Often times however, the soft clouds isn't exactly what you had in mind and can quite often spoil a normally good image, especially if you anticipate enlarging that.
